Welcome to Wey Valley Netball Club
Wey Valley is a grassroots, community netball club in Guildford, Surrey. At Wey Valley, we have aspirations to help every member to fulfil her netball potential – and have fun and friendship on the way. The main club caters for girls in year 7 (U12) to year 11 (U16) but we also have a Satellite training club for year 5 and 6 girls. See Satellite
Wey Valley is a space outside school where players can enjoy the benefits of exercise, competition to suit their level of ability, mutual support from their club mates as well as nurturing a sense of well-being.
We aim to foster:
Teamwork: netball is the ultimate team sport and we aim to make every team become more than the sum of its parts – and every player feel part of that team.
Performance: we always like to win, but performance is most important. We aim to help every player reach her best performance potential – the results look after themselves.
Ambition: every player has their own potential but they need courage and support to fulfil this, whether they aspire to play for their country (see Elite Athletes) or to continue to play at club level into adulthood, enjoying the fitness benefits and social connections that netball brings.
